A typical New Years Resolution is to read your Bible more regularly. This is a fine resolution, one I hope you will accomplish. One easy way to do this is to get into the habit of systematic reading. There are all kinds of Bible Reading Plans, and today, with the convenience of the internet, it's even easier. So here are some sites and tools for you to use to spend time in God's Word in 2009.
ESV Book of Common Prayer Daily Office Lectionary
This is a nice site to keep up with a systematic reading of the Bible that includes a reading from the Psalms, Old Testament, New Testament, and Gospel every day. It sounds like a lot, but it isn't. The Psalms are set up in a regular pattern that are great for enabling and encouraging prayer. This is the basic plan that I use.
Bible Gateway Reading Plans
Several approaches to systematic Bible reading. You will probably find something helpful on this site!
Crosswalk Bible In a Year Plan
This is a cool sight where you can register and the site will keep up with your progress. [There's a link on top of the article that says "Buy Me", but you don't have to buy anything, don't even have to register, but if you register (that's free), you can use the tracking feature, which is pretty neat]. Also, as with the Bible Gateway site, you have a large selection of translations.
Happy Reading!!
